day 34! shida

Same deal today, lounged around during the day (read: slept a lot) cuz I wasn't sure what to do, but headed out at night (the great motivator, hunger, finally struck). The weather for the past couple of weeks have been constantly overcast with chances of thunderstorms/flash rain every day, but starting today (for a couple of days) it's sposed to be sunny. :) Which is really nice, but without the rain clouds around the temperature rises rapidly.

To take advantage of the lack of rain threat, though, I decided to go back to Shida since it's within walking distance (1 station away) from my apartment. This must be the 3rd or 4th time coming back here, too.

So like I mentioned before, Shida night market got shut down, but the boutiques still remain. So almost all the shops there are a little boutiques like this one - corgi! ruffruff :3

Some stationary booths like this one. It's amazing how compact these shops are. Every inch of it is packed with little accessories -- hair, earrings, necklaces. Oops this guy caught me taking a pic. :)

I wasn't too impressed the last time I came, but for some reason this time I had a lot more fun shopping around. I did mention last time but, almost all the stuff here is for girls, and caters to a heavily college-aged audience, which means FASHIONABLE, which means...girly. Like you can kinda see on the left side, lots of flouncy blouses. But if you look harder, there are definitely other styles here as well, they're just more infrequent.

Like this place, for example, was more club-styled wear. I bought something here. :) I thought it was a REALLY short dress, but there were actually little pants hidden underneath. Apparently it came from Korea. After trying it on at home...it was only ok. I guess it's meant to be sort of loose, which tends not to flatter me. :(

So one of my primary missions here was to get that @#($*#($ dress that I liked. Took me a while but I finally found the little stand. They didn't have too many colors. :( :( Not even black!! And without black I'm....nobody. T_T I got one or two but was a little disappointed at the lack of color choice.

SOooOoOOOOOooo I found ANOTHER brand of the SAME style of dress (you would not believe how many of this type of dress are floating around. And at first glance they all look identical!!) and tried to give it a shot. .... better than the brand that I now have 6 of but still not as good as the original! I have now accrued a collection of about 10 of this dress. Most are not good. LOL. /epicfailllll orz

Anyway sorry the posts are getting shorter and boringer, with no new content/pictures, but I'm getting a lot boringer here too. :)
