day 41! zhongxiaofuxing, taipei central underground mall, gongguan, shida

Gah!! So I wrote out the blog entry for today and tried to publish it, but by some Google witchcraft it managed to not publish it, AND when I tried to reload the page and try again, it didn't even save what I had done. >< So I'm pissed off and just gonna blitz through the day I don't want to do it again.

Had plans to meet up with my cousin for lunch. Been wanting to take her out cuz she's been so nice to me, taking me and Michael out to see the Avengers, brought me (and paid for me) to karaoke with her friends, showed me that awesome art show...I really wanted to sort of say thanks to her before I left. Michael and I had wanted to bring her to Momo's Paradise but plans kinda fizzled so, when she said she maybe had time for lunch on Tuesday, I decided to bring her there. :) It went pretty well, we all just chatted a bit. Oh, I delivered the gift that our family had got for her, some little coin purse from Marc by Marc Jacobs that she'd been asking about before, and she seemed pleased with it (but hid it behind a curtain of modesty). :)

Afterwards she suggested all sorts of sightseeing places we could go to, but I guess neither Kurt nor I have a penchant for vista points or touristy locations we both decided to pass and went to an internet cafe instead!! :p Cuz we're pro travelers. Hehe.

There! A rare picture of me on my blog. I look tired. :( I am tired....

The Momo's we went to was in zhongxiaofuxing area, and it turns out that's where Kurt came to stay with friends last time he was in Taiwan. He remembered how to get to the internet cafe that they spent a lot of time at, so we went to check it out. It was pretty cool...! No monster monitors but the whole place was covered in WOW decor which I thought was pretty cool.
This awesome busty chick was right next to our seats.

Most of the dudes where were playing D3 (and LOL) and it looked so cool. T_T Thanks to everyone at home being lame and deciding to break Blizzard servers instead of just waiting 24 hours for them to hammer out all the kinks, we didn't really play that long, just a few games. I really don't get why people are so keen on playing it right away...24 hours isn't gonna make a huge difference after waiting about 10 years. :| Boys. Sigh. Though to be honest I was feeling a bit bummed to not know what's going and not be part of the conversation. ^^ On the other hand, I will probably never go through the anguish of error 37.....
Another cool wall. :D
After the internet cafe, we went to walk around in the Taipei Central underground mall.

Stopped for a Starbucks (that last latte gave me back my appetite for coffee I guess ><) and saw a Black Forest cake in their snack selection! It looked just like the one from Mother's Day (albeit 4x smaller and cuter) so I had to take a pic of it. Why didn't we just get a normal one that size???

It's kinda interesting to see, too, that their pastries are different from the ones we have at home. :) Most of it is cakes, whereas at home we have like brownies, cookies, madeleines,  what have you.
Kurt stopped to get some popcorn chicken and popcorn mushrooms (?). They use oyster mushrooms, I think? And they're actually better tasting than the chicken imo. :3
Last glimpse of Michael's favorite claw machine arcade! The one where my cute little friend works. Sadly I didn't get to see her again. Actually I did go once and I saw her there but I was too overcome by social anxiety to go say hi to her. :p Now I'm regretting it cuz I didn't get to say bye...
Took this one for you Janet! AHHHH mamegoma in a penguin suit, I'm gonna die....!! X3 X3
Cute cups. :) When I have a house I want to fill it with sets of cute things like this....course by that time I'll be too old to own cute things and people will whisper about me behind their hands like, dude, does she not realize how old she is.... T^T
These guys were practicing dance in the underground, and I thought it was pretty amazing how in sync they were with each other. Like down to their heights and body sizes.......how are they all the same???

Some weird art installation in one of the underground areas. I just don't get art sometimes....
I don't really have any good pics for the rest. :( So we walked around malls K, Z, and Y. Didn't manage to get back to R to see if it had reopened yet. We mostly just walked around though, and didn't buy much cuz there are no guys clothes here...

After that we went to Gongguan, just to peek around. Didn't buy much again cuz still no guys clothes. I did notice one drink shop that my mom had pointed out to me as being really famous before. And the few times I had gone back, I did see a long line in front of the shop. This time when I glanced over at it though, I noticed the characters "black sugar" on the sign. I was like ....?!?! Could it be?!?! I had to find out. :) So we waited in line, which actually moved very fast (and just goes to show how popular it is, if the lines moves that quickly, but there are still always people waiting), and...it WAS the same as the amazing milk tea I'd had the night before!!! :D :D Omg. I'm so bummed that I'd been too lazy to try it before. Could have been having delicious milk tea this whole time! T^T Although I spose that did save me a few pounds or something....

Hopped over one stop to Shida, did a bit of last minute shopping there. Oh yah Kurt tried a gua bao at Gongguan........he agreed that it was all that I had hyped it up to be! :D They are amazing.

Anyway that was pretty much it. Sorry these posts are getting so boring, it's mainly cuz we've been going back to a lot of places I've already taken pics of and written about. :)
